Orca Girl Sweeps the Other World

## Illustrations ## Prologue: Hello, My New Body Taiwanese edition. Reprinted from Light Novel Kingdom. "I mean, I am a girl right in the prime of her youth. How do I put it? I want people to look at me and think, 'Ah, that girl is really something,' or give them that 'Wow, she's amazing' feeling—the kind where everyone's eyes gather on me." "Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. So what you're saying is, after you reincarnate, you want a figure anyone would envy, right!" The angel big sister eagerly wrote my wishes down. Ooh, you really get it! This angel is so reasonable. She handles reincarnation for a living—no wonder she's such a capable career woman! She truly feels like an elite who was chosen for the job! "Exactly! Think about it. I died at sixteen, didn't I? I never even got to taste romance. From here on I want to meet a wonderful partner, fall in love with him, get married, and start a family together... Ahh! To reach that kind of happy future, I still think your figure matters. Health goes without saying, but appearance is an important factor too, isn't it?" "Mm-hmm-hmm-hmm! So you want to reincarnate into a body that's strong! And cute! That kind of body, right!" "That's it! Can I become like that? If I can't, I'll be in real trouble! I'm reincarnating into an otherworld, that incredible kind of place! So I can live happily in my next life, please grant me a body that's beautiful, cute, and has an absolutely amazing figure!" "All right! I understand..." ## Chapter 1: The Dream Is to Become Human, and Meeting the Beautiful Girls Previously: I wished to reincarnate as a beautiful girl with a lovely figure, and was turned into a killer whale instead. The end. "You've got to be kidding meeeee! How am I supposed to accept thiiiiis!" I thrashed with everything I had to make my furious protest known, but all I managed was to keep slamming my body into the grassland. Why? How did I end up a killer whale? I said it, didn't I? I asked her, didn't I? I said I wanted to become a beautiful girl! This is not a beautiful girl at all! And another thing, another thing! Fine, turn me into a killer whale if you must, but at least put me in the water! Why dump me on a grassland? A killer whale, left on a grassland—what is that?! What kind of idiot does something like this? Am I going to die? I carried on like that for ten minutes. Once I realized it was a useless struggle, I went limp on the ground and tears spilled out. "Waaah, why? Why a killer whale... Aren't killer whales those huge, scary, terrifying things... At least turn me into a dolphin..." No matter how long I kept crying, reality was not going to change. My body was not going to turn into a beautiful girl's just because of this. This is awful. I really should never have believed a word from a shady character like that angel. The moment she said she could reincarnate me, I just dumbly believed her. I'm an idiot, an idiot, an idiot! Of course something that sounds full of benefits has nothing good behind it! I dreamed of becoming a beautiful girl and living a life as everyone's favorite, and the result is this hideous mess! "What am I even supposed to do about this situation first... Would getting to the water be enough?" I rolled my body... ## Interlude "Whoaaaa! This... this mansion is way too amazing! This is it! This is what I wanted when I reincarnated into another world! My dream is to be a young lady living in a mansion like this!" Once we were outside Vargon Cave and stepped into the base our master had given us, Torako, unable to hold her excitement in, started bouncing all over the place. Above the bouncing Torako's head, the girl our master had entrusted to our care—Myura—wore, for some reason, an extremely contented look. Aside from Myura's name, we knew almost nothing about who she really was. Master said she was a child a friend had left behind, which was why she had brought her back, but who knew how much of that could be believed. It was Master, after all. Even if she told me everything she had just said was a lie, and the child was only a lost kid picked up nearby, I would not be surprised. Still, seeing her cling to Torako like that felt warm. The way she had latched onto Torako and would not let go from the moment they met was exactly like a newborn baby. "Still, this mansion really is luxurious. Three stories, and this spacious—it could probably house about a hundred people, right?" "Elsa, Elsa! Let's decide who gets which room! From now on this is our home, so I think we should each have a room of our own!" "Your room is obviously the biggest one. With a body as excessively huge as yours, you'd be miserable if you didn't stay in a spacious room." "Don't say excessively huge! This is a standard killer whale size! I am not fat!" Even if you bounce around... ## Chapter 2: The South Sea and the Emerald Teardrop Crystal I—Lady Okote's day—began amid the singing of birds. After a simple grooming, I sat down to breakfast with my beloved family. My father, a noble duke, was absent, busy with his affairs; my mother, the duchess, was likewise too busy to attend; and the younger brother who supposedly existed, and who was not related to me by blood, also seemed very busy, so he was absent too. Surrounded by my beloved family, I enjoyed a somewhat late breakfast. "My, this is delicious. Miss Elsa, is this fruit an appleling from the Schulte region?" "That's just an ordinary apple." "This is truly a delicious dish that brings out the full flavor of the ingredients. Chef Myura's skill is exquisite every time." "Myura just tossed the fruit into your mouth. Can you really call that cooking?" "Chef, I'd like black tea. And be sure to use that cup I like." "Your fins can't even hold a cup." "Meanie! What are you doing! Elsa, you're so mean! What's wrong with letting me soak in the feeling of being a young lady for a bit!" I slapped the floor in protest, but Elsa went on eating breakfast as if it had nothing to do with her. Mrrgh, you're bullying me! Elsa's merciless comebacks ended my heroine role-play in just a few short minutes. This wonderful mansion is our home now. Enjoying the atmosphere a little should not bring down divine punishment. The house has three stories and plenty of rooms, and it is not even cramped with a killer whale living in it—a noble mansion that feels like it could house dozens of people! Rina, too... ## Epilogue: Goodbye, Me the Killer Whale. Hello, Me the Beautiful Girl. "Your level has risen from 9 to 12." "Wahaha! I won! I won! Miss Torako is the winner! The one who won is Torako! The one who won is Torako! Still being alive in this world is the best! Still being alive in this world is the best!" Oh no. I was so happy I couldn't hold the joy in my heart. I couldn't even tell whether I was happy because I had defeated a powerful enemy in the middle of a hard fight—a hard fight—a really hard fight, or because I had survived together with everyone. "Elsa, Elsa! I worked hard, right? I worked super hard in this fight, right! I won—I took down an A-rank boss!" "Yeah. Honestly, I'm surprised. I didn't think Torako's potential would come out that strong... You really are, as always, a being who defies common sense." "Hehe~! Even Elsa, who's usually so cold to me, is showing her affection out in the open! Rurika, Rurika, I was cool just now, right! Did you watch carefully while I was trying so hard? If you blinked and missed the highlight, I won't forgive you!" "I did. The sight of Lady Torako bringing Gravan down is burned deep into these eyes. I don't think I would forget that scene even if I died." "Kyaa—! Stop it, calling me the coolest, cutest, most beautiful perfect girl in the world—and even that isn't praise enough, Rurika! Say more, say more!" I bounced hard across the ground, rolling left and rolling right, all over the place, overjoyed. Oh no, everyone's praising me. Everyone's praising me to the heavens!... ## Afterword Thank you very much for reading the entire story. To those meeting me for the first time, and to those I already met in my previous work, *The Fallen Angel Who Kept Watching You*—it's been a while. I'm Nyao. What did you think of *The Orca Girl Sweeps Another World*, the story of a very stupid killer whale girl—Torako—bouncing all over the place, full of love and dreams? If, after finishing this story, you found it even a little bit fun, nothing would make me happier. Crying and laughing, bouncing everywhere, getting carried away and then taking one hard fall. Torako, free-spirited past the point of going too far—I hope you will look on her with affection and wish that someday she can fulfill her dream of becoming a beautiful girl and finding the perfect boyfriend. Just as Elsa does, watching Torako with an exasperated look. Now then, this story was originally serialized online on Let's Become a Novelist. Readers who have already seen the web version may be surprised once they reach a certain point in the book edition. That's right. The web version and the book version of *The Orca Girl Sweeps Another World* are actually a little different. It is as if Torako walked onto what a game would call another story route. If we call the web version the Torako A (idiot [aho]) route, then the book version feels like the Torako B (dummy [baka]) route. Both of them are the usual Torako (dead eyes). For readers who have only just met Torako and bought this work, I of course hope you enjoy it; and I also hope those who have already...
